Overview
The Carsey Institute, through applied research, courses, roundtables and institutes examines the role of capital in community development. We seek to understand and address the need for and importance of capital in community development, the nature and limitations of traditional private and public sources of capital, and the policies and institutions needed to increase the availability and effective use of capital for community development. We also research and develop specific models and mechanisms that promote new ways to finance community development projects and social enterprises.
